Our Living Patriarch - Deal Rudd

Traditionally, down thru history, family members have gathered together to renew relationships and maintain family traditions and memories. These reunions have always been taken very seriously. Everyone was expected to be there, short of serious illness or death.

Somehow in these modern times our lives have gotten so busy and we've spread to the far corners of our great nation, that it has become difficult to uphold this tradition. Those people with the courage to invest their money and time to organize a family reunion should be honored for their efforts. Perhaps we can use this page to express our thanks to Jim and Delene Perry for their efforts to hold such a wonderful reunion at one of the "greatest kept secrets" of the US, the Pondaries near Las Vegas, New Mexico last year (2000).

Jim and Delene, thanks for your gracious hospitality and all your time and effort you put into this. I'm am sorry for those that did not get to come... they missed a really fun time. Our prayers are with them as we ask the Lord to bless them with his healing powers. We hope to see you at the RUDD REUNION 2001.

At reunions of the past, when family members posed for pictures, they always took a stern and very serious look... no smiles. Well, the people at our last reunion often had similar poses. There were a few smiles, but a lot of serious looks as you will see.
